Urgent Need For Medical Supplies

A large part of Erin’s ministry is hosting free, one-day medical clinics in the churches of the professors and students who attend our IBCP seminary. These clinics are a tangible way for us to benefit the personal ministries of those churches associated with the seminary.

Erin is frequently able to provide asthma treatments, wound care, malaria tests, and treatment, pain medication, hydration supplement, health education and prayer. Already Erin has saved and changed many lives.

There are some major health needs here. Rampant poverty and the prevalence of witchcraft make life harder. Here are some of the health issues facing the people of this country:

– The infant mortality rate is 69.17/1,000 live berths (5.87/1,000 in the US).
– Life expectancy is 56 years (79 years in the US).
– The top four causes of death are AIDS, influenza, diarrhea and malaria (all preventable).
– One of three countries in the world where more than 50% of the population don’t have access to clean water.
– The UN indicates a lack of medical professionals is one of the greatest crisis the country faces.

Erin charges neither the patients nor the churches anything to host these clinics. It is a way of showing God’s grace and mercy to some of the greatest suffering souls on the planet. But, the clinics do not happen without a financial cost.

If you would like to make a one-time, tax-deductible contribution towards purchasing medical supplies for these clinics you can do so with a debit or credit card by clicking HERE.
