Monterrey, Mexico – Day 1 of 4

I (Mike) type this entry (at 5:30am) from the airport in San Jose, Cost Rica as I await my flight to Monterrey, Mexico.
I will be in Mexico for four days attending Mission to the World’s Latin America Leadership Conference.  This event will be attended by the mission team leaders from every country in Latin America.  It is intended to train, educate, counsel, and prepare the missionaries in the region.
Our full docket (9am to 9pm each day) includes case studies, lectures and training on policy changes, contextualization, working with nationals, mentoring, ministry examples, and more.
One of the highlights for me will be a chance to again meet with Mark Thompson (Team Honduras Director) and Sean McCann (Team Honduras Teammate). These are two men I have grown to love and respect. While I have spent much time over the past year working with these guys, the three of us have never been in the same room at the same time.  We are planning on continuing our work to plan, pray and organize for Team Honduras.
Please pray for Erin and Maddy as they stay behind in Costa Rica.
I will keep you update as internet access allows.
