Evangelism Training Part V

EE training at Soaring OaksYesterday we taught another great Evangelism Explosion class at our home church. Mike taught the lecture portion for the tenth week of our 13 week training course.

Week 10 focused on the discipling and training of new believers. This stresses the importance of helping a new believer to learn the importance of study, prayer, worship, fellowship and evangelism.

While training on the streets of Elk Grove over the past 10 weeks our team has contacted 51 people, shared the gospel with 35 individuals and helped lead one to a profession of faith!

We already have Spanish language training material and will teach evangelism in Honduras. To read more about our experience go here.

Evangelism Training Part IV

Erin teaching EE classYesterday we taught another great Evangelism Explosion(EE) class at our home church. Erin presented the lecture and took the students out into the community for On the Job Training. She did a great job and filled in nicely for our two absent instructors.

This was the sixth week of the 13 week training course. We are really starting to make an impact in the community. Numerous people are receiving follow-up visits and scheduling additional meetings and church visits. The students are starting to feel more comfortable and are stepping way out of their comfort zones.

While training on the streets of Elk Grove our team has contacted 36 people, shared the gospel with 18 individuals and helped lead one to profession of faith!

This is the first time our church has taught EE. To read more about our experience go here.

Evangelism Training Part III

Yesterday we taught another great Evangelism Explosion(EE) class at our home church. Mike delivered the lecture and Mike and Erin and two other instructors took the students out into the community for On the Job Training.

This was the fifth week of the 13 week training course. Our seven students are really doing well and are getting very excited about their role. Last night we experienced our first conversion. Standing in front of Wal-Mart one of our teams stopped two strangers and asked if we could talk to them. One of our students led the couple through the gospel presentation. The man, Vicki, ultimately prayed and accepted Christ. When we got back to class all of the students were so energized to hear that one of their own had actually been used by God for His glory.

While training on the streets of Elk Grove our team has contacted 24 people, shared the gospel with 12 and helped lead one to profession of faith!

Evangelism Training Part II

Mike teaching EE courseYesterday we taught another great Evangelism Explosion(EE) class at our home church. Mike delivered the lecture and Erin and another instructor took the students out into the community for On the Job Training(OJT).

After only four weeks of classes we are seeing such great things come out of the seven students we are teaching. They are getting really excited about sharing the gospel and having some great experiences. Their weekly OJT is going well, but they are also gaining great practice at home. Family members and coworkers are hearing about Christ. Not even the local Jehovah’s Witnesses are safe from hearing the gospel from our team.

While training on the streets of Elk Grove our team has visited 14 apartments and presented the gospel to six people. Praise God!

Evangelism Training

Yesterday we helped teach Evangelism Explosion(EE) at our home church. Both Erin and Mike have been trained and certified as instructors for EE. Mike delivered the lecture and Erin and another instructor took the students out for On the Job Training (OJT).

This is the first time our church has taught EE. We have a class of seven students. While on OJT our teams visited nine apartments and presented the Gospel to four people…in less then one hour. Praise God!

EE is a 13 week course that trains individuals how to share Christ’s love with others. It consists of classroom style lectures and OJT. The OJT takes the student out into the community with an experienced instructor and has them practice presenting the Gospel to strangers.

We have purchased the Spanish language materials and intend on implementing this training in Honduras.
